Dr. Roohi is a distinguished individual who has not only earned the prestigious title of “Doctor” but has also dedicated her life to the noble cause of serving humanity. With a profound interest in understanding and improving emotional well-being, she pursued a comprehensive education in Psychology, culminating in a PhD with honors in Emotional Health.
For several years, Dr. Roohi has been actively involved in the Department of Palliative Care at KMIO as an Honorary Counselor, offering her compassionate guidance and support to those facing challenging circumstances. In addition, she has lent her expertise to Nimhans Casualty Care, further expanding her invaluable contributions to the field. Driven by her commitment to excellence, she also completed spe- cialized training in Mental Health First Aid from the esteemed Department of Psychiatry at Nimhans.
With a heartfelt passion for assisting women in need, Dr. Roohi established the Urban Angels Foun- dation, a registered section 8 company. Through this organization, she provides shelter and support to cancer survivors, women with Alzheimer’s disease, and others facing various challenges. Recognizing the importance of early education and development, particularly for children, she also received training in Montessori and embarked on a journey to create a nurturing environment through a small daycare fa- cility.
