“To succeed in your mission, you must have sin- gle-minded devotion to your goal.”

I could not stay there any longer, so I kissed her forehead and asked her to rest and revive.
A week later,
I was invited to a neighbor’s birthday party, I was delighted with the design and background for cake cutting. I was awed by the decorations, color combinations and lights. When I read at the right hand corner the signature Adorebliss. I was so delighted to see that signature. Because it belonged to Geeta Naidu, the woman I saw a week ago struggling to speak breaking the glass ceiling and focusing on her business of event planner. Her dedicated team supported her all through.I saw her at a distance and waved at her, I congratulated her and asked her why she started this early? She said I started from the hos- pital bed itself. Managed to guide them through calls and texts, I know this woman as an energetic, dynamic entrepreneur. It was heart-wrenching to see this woman lay half dead. She was summoned for a surgery and then in the middle of the procedure she got a cardiac arrest. The doctors did an emergency CPR, in the process her heart was revived, but her shoulder bone was cut due to the impact. I felt very sorry for her and I just held her hand tightly mustering courage to speak a sentence. She opened her eyes with a smile, I did not let my tears meet my cheeks, I struggled to enact a smile, I asked her in a whisper, How are you feeling?
She gave a divine smile and said ““I am a strong woman. I don’t sit around feeling sorry for my- self, nor let people mistreat me. I don’t respond to people who dictate to me or try to bring me down. If I fall I will rise up even stronger because I am a survivor and not a victim. I am in control of my life and there is nothing I can’t achieve.” Her voice was feeble, But I could feel her conviction in the eyes. I smiled and prayed for her speedy recovery. She continued, I was glad to know it is her 823rd event from the time of inception of her company Adore Bliss, I told her Geeta “Do you mind if I ask you some entrepreneurial questions, I mean your answers will motivate the youngsters to
take charge of their life. She readily agreed and we chose a cozy corner for the conver- sation,
My First question to her was
1. You being an entrepreneur what is your biggest motivation to be one and sustain?
Geetha Naidu:Affirmation works.I keep doing the self talk of positivity, I keep saying me and my team are the best.I have full faith and confidence in my team, When a client gives us a positive review, I feel really great about it and I rub that excitement and positivity into my team. I always believe, whatever happens, happens for good. All that I remind myself is Either there is a way or I create one, Come what may, I dont give up!
2. How many events have you done upto date?
As on June 21st 2022, This will be our 824th event in total. It is alI l possible because of the dedicat- ed team and positive word of mouth.
3.I heard you began with humble beginnings? Tell me a little about your struggles and how you overcame it?
Planning Events was not my choice, it was by chance, I had to choose to do it because of fi- nancial difficulties – initially i started with very low budget events with no profit because, i did not know what I was capable of, I had self doubt & my inner circle was also like not very confident in my skills. I faced a lot of struggle & hardships. I remember days when I had nothing other than INR 500/- .
I had no materials, no proper team mates, I my- self used to lift the materials and I had no helpers helping me- but still I progressed, I was growing. day by day and my career was improving by God’s grace. When our clients started to love the set up and appreciated our efforts, my con-
fidence level shot up slowly. I did face lots of downfalls too, people used to get frustrated in spite of all the efforts and results they felt unsatisfactory at times. During those times of crisis, I used to have patience and with determination and our events slowly started getting noticed. This is when I realized events are my passion. And one thing I am really grateful for is I am so blessed that I have more support from WOMEN and lots of referral events from them.
4. Given a choice, will you ever change your Career?
I Love Interior Designing- I de- sired to start my career in In- terior Design. But life had oth- er plans, I became an event
planner, since my passion towards interiors are so high I always implement those ideas in my events ( definitely very soon will start up interior projects too) Every dream is valid.I love interior designing- i wanted to start my career in it but i became an event planner , since my passion towards interiors are so high i implement those ideas in my events ( Definitely very soon will start up interior projects too)- there should not be a regret that we could not do this. So I have de- cided and determine to succeed in your life then I have surrounded myself with, the dream- ers, the believers, the planners and the Doers. My dreams are always my personal dreams so it is my responsibility to believe in my own dreams, our dreams are backed up with the belief and then an action plan to initiate the action so you can be the doer and our own dreams matter. When you surrender your life to your dreams then the smallest to the biggest results become tangible from intangible then the believer in you be more confident to take bigger Actions to achieve to visualize higher dreams.

I meet a lot of women in our
daily life scenarios, When I in- teract for personal or profes- sional work. I ask them why they want to sacrifice their dream? I request them to show up and stand for them- selves. I also inspire them to have a vision and fulfill the purpose of life. I also tell them to consciously look for hap- piness. Live is not just for the sake of survival, we need to do our bit to put a dent in the universe, I started my career when I was 34, figuring out my purpose was a hercule- an task. But I never gave up, I ensured I followed my mission and always opted for happi- ness against all odds.
